There are so many products available on the market that often it is a case of picking the best one for you. Getting a mortgage in another country such as France tends to be slightly more difficult. Preliminary assesmentThey start by having a long discussion with our customer to assess their financial circumstances; analysing both the positive and negative aspects of their situation. Depending on their current situation, they will then offer advice on whether to take a fixed, variable or capped mortgage. Decision in PrincipleHaving carried out the preliminary assessment, our mortgage specialist will then be able to check the latest offers on the market and they will subsequently offer two quotes matching their requirements and conditions. ChoiceThe choice will always remain the liberty of our customers. They will be able to choose between the products which have been offered to them by Sextant Mortgage advisors. DocumentsThe next step consists of passing on all the relevant documents to one of our mortgage advisors who will make sure the file is complete before sending it to the French Bank. Approval Once this has been received, it will then be sent for final approval to their "underwriter" team who will decide, subject to status and valuation, whether or not it will be accepted. Our mortgage advisors will not send a file to a bank if they have thought it will be rejected for any given reason, and it is for this reason that they will do everything in their power to ensure that it will be accepted.
